1. Who handles your information
ImageTextTools is responsible for the information collected to run this image editing service, including your product account and edit records. Product support is available at support@imagetexttools.com; privacy and legal requests go to legal@imagetexttools.com.
For purchases through Waffo Pancake, Waffo Pancake acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, billing, tax, fraud prevention, refunds and transaction records under its own Privacy Policy. Waffo Pancake and ImageTextTools have separate responsibilities for the information each handles.
2. Information we collect
- Images and editing content: uploaded images, detected text and its location, your replacement text, generated images and previews. Images may themselves contain personal information.
- Account and session information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile image, and store sign-in and session records. We do not receive your Google password.
- Orders and credits: account and order identifiers, the purchased plan, amount, currency, payment status, refunds, and credit reservations and usage. Card details are entered at Waffo Pancake checkout; our application does not collect or store full card numbers or card security codes, and payment card data is processed exclusively by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor (Waffo Pancake).
- Technical and safety information: guest and device-related identifiers used for access and free-edit eligibility, request and error information, image hashes, moderation outcomes, and service-provider task identifiers. Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses and browser/device information.
- Support communications: information and attachments you choose to send us.
- Analytics: when enabled, Google Analytics 4 receives page views, page URLs and titles, and limited product events such as upload, generation, sign-in and download actions, together with browser/device and approximate location information.
3. How and why we use it
We use this information to recognize and replace image text, generate and deliver results, restore your current task, manage accounts and credits, verify payments, provide support, detect abuse and prohibited content, and meet legal obligations.
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing the service you request; legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, support and service reliability; legal obligations for relevant records; and consent for activities that require it. We use analytics to understand how the service is used.
Upload only content you are entitled to share and process. Avoid uploading identification documents, financial records, medical information, confidential material or other sensitive personal information.
4. Service providers and sharing
The service uses third parties for the following functions. They receive the information needed for their role:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, database and private image storage, network security and Turnstile bot checks.
- Google: Google sign-in and, when enabled, Google Analytics 4. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Cloud Vision: uploaded images for text recognition and text-region detection.
- Kie.ai and the model services it routes requests to: your input image and replacement instructions for image generation. The current generation configuration uses Grok, Nano Banana and Qwen models.
- SeeAPI: uploaded images and a representative generated image for content moderation.
- Waffo Pancake: checkout and purchase information for payment, tax, billing, refunds and disputes. We do not send your editing images to Waffo Pancake as part of ordinary checkout.
- Email providers: communications you send to our support and legal addresses.
We do not sell your images or personal information. We may disclose relevant records where legally required, to protect rights and investigate abuse, to professional advisers, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Third-party retention and any use for model improvement are subject to their applicable terms and our arrangements with them. We do not promise that every upstream service excludes training or deletes its copies within our own image-retention period.
5. Image deletion and other retention
- Completed edits: uploaded images, generated images and previews in storage we control are scheduled for deletion 24 hours after generation completes.
- Failed, rejected or timed-out edits: image files are scheduled for deletion within 24 hours of the task ending.
- Unfinished drafts: uploaded files expire 24 hours after upload.
Download your results before they expire. Cleanup runs periodically, so physical removal may follow the scheduled expiry during the next cleanup run. Signing in, viewing a preview or buying credits does not extend the image lifetime.
The 24-hour rule applies to image files, not all records. Detected text, replacement instructions and task metadata can remain in the database after the images expire; there is currently no automatic deletion schedule for these records. You may request their deletion at legal@imagetexttools.com; on a verified request, we delete them within 30 days.
Account records are kept while your account is active; if you request account deletion, we delete them within 30 days of completing verification, unless the law requires us to keep specific records. Order, credit, security, moderation and support records are kept for no longer than one year after the relevant order, task or communication, unless the law or an open dispute or investigation requires longer. We review deletion requests against these purposes and any required retention. Waffo Pancake and other providers apply their own retention rules to records they hold.
7. Security and international processing
We use access checks for edit files, private storage and protected sign-in sessions. Necessary processing providers receive file data or temporary access to it; images are not intended to be a public gallery. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Our infrastructure and providers are located in, or process data from, several regions, including the United States. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, those transfers use an appropriate legal mechanism, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, an adequacy decision or an equivalent mechanism. Our 24-hour deletion schedule covers storage we control and does not by itself determine a provider’s location or retention policy.
If a personal data breach is likely to affect your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected users and, where required, the competent supervisory authority without undue delay and, where required by law, within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and complain to your local data protection authority. Exercising these rights will not result in unlawful discrimination.
Contact legal@imagetexttools.com from your account email where possible. Describe whether the request concerns your account, edit content or another record. We may ask for reasonable verification of identity; do not send passwords or full payment-card details. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any information we must retain.
You may request account deletion through that address; there is currently no self-service account-deletion control. Contact Waffo Pancake directly for information it controls as merchant of record. For editing problems, contact support@imagetexttools.com.
9. Age requirement and policy changes
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed to minors. If you believe a minor has supplied personal information, contact legal@imagetexttools.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The date and version above identify the latest revision. If a change is material, we will give registered users at least 14 days’ notice by email or a prominent notice on the site before it takes effect, in addition to any other notice required by law.
